Web Marketing Stratigies vs. Search Engine Optmization

Which one will bring you more business and return on your investment and is more cost effective.

Digital Xpressions is about to embark upon a study to determine the true value of both. Known values are that is it more cost effective to market to an existing audience than to develop new business.

First to understand the scope of this study, let us define the two categories:
Web Marketing Strategies includes - email marketing, developing programs to attract existing customers and gain new - updates to website for consumer use - press releases, newsletters, offerings (sales, coupons & events) may also include blogging and facebook, twitter and such.

Search Engine Optimization - keywords, meta tags, title tag, alt tags to be completed -add to google webmaster account for tracking, sitemap file - then determining cost for campaign (SEO is more than just sumitting your site, its about bidding and running ad words via google).

We already know which works best for most businesses. You see, most people believe that you submit your site once to a search engine, and thats it - then sit back and wait for people to rush to your site. It does not work that way. Bottom line, no matter what you do - you have to be proactive and be willing to invest into your company's website.
